Ok. Did the compression test finally. Here are the results. I did it twice and the numbers each time were 1 to 3 off from each other. This was done with the engine kinda warm. I think the gauge said a little over 100. Anyway.

#1 125 the ones that is misfiring
#2 121
#3 124
#4 124
#5 125
#6 130

Where should I go from here?

The compression test results are all pretty low but the variation across the cylinders is within acceptable range. How many miles on the engine and did you just replace one piston?

I replaced all the pistons head and gaskets. Lifters as well. I did check it on a cooler engine that is why I figured they were low. I have 190630 miles.

Not sure if you tried this but you can swap injector#1 with another cylinder's injector and see if the code follows the injector. That will rule out/in fuel delivery as the cause.

I did replace all the injectors. Still did it. Replaced the injector plug and no change. Sorry forgot to mention that.

I tried to spray rubbing alcohol on the intake and it there was no difference in the idling or revs of the engine. Anybody have any other ideas?

Check the spark plug gap. I was having a misfire on cyl6 when I bought my 98 the po did a tune up and the gap on the spark pug was almost closed. Maybe you will get lucky too.

I was on the same boat as you are, but with cylinder #5.
After cleaning, swapping injectors, spark plugs the situation was still the same.

Finally I pull the coil pack and have it upside down on the side of the head cover, put old spark plugs making sure the side of the spark plugs touched the head cover, and have my wife cranking the Jeep, sure enough there was no spark on Cyl 5.

I know there are three coils on the coil pack, and the failure of one coil should affect two cylinders and not only one, so I started measuring things, and the line from cyl 5 to the coil was unresponsive, so my guess is that some sort of internal connection between the boot and the coil was toasted.

Ordered a new one, and the failure went away.

so, I will say, test the coil rail, it might be the same issue happening to your jeep, just be carefull no the get hit by the powerfull spark cause it hurts bad! I KNOW from experience!

I have replaced the spark plug twice. Checked the gap twice on each plug. Thanks for the input tho.

I pulled off the coil rail and it was sparking. My question is. Would it somehow have a short or something in the rail to where it would not spark in the correct sequence? Or be weak a little?
