lining up the leafs is tough, but doable. i bolted them up to the shackle first and pulled them forward as much as possible. then i took a jack and jacked the axle up against the leafs, then kept jacking to compress the leafs. as i did that i took a hammer to the front eye to drive it into the front mount. jack, bang, jack, bang. then when it looked lined up, i got my dad to use a long pry bar against the frame rail and leafs to pry it down and line up the hole so i could slide the bolt in.

i haven't looked into bump stops yet. 1 out of 4 on the shock bolts ain't bad though. i got 4 out of 4 on my 90 and only 2 out of 4 on my dad's 98.

Dont mean to change the topic, but do you have a plan of attach for the front bump stops? I have been trying to figure out how your supposed to press them in. I guess earlier years had screw in cups that held the bump stop in it, but my 99 has the cup welded to the inside of the coil mount

im keeping the stock front bump stops and going the hockey puck route to get it where i need to be. I finally found a sporting goods store, about an hour from me, but i sometimes work in the area, so when i go up that way im picking up 6 of them at 1.29 each.

what i have seen and read is you basically drill out a hole in the bottom of your spring cup. drill holes directly in the center of the puck, and bolt them to the bottom. Also note that its wise to recess the bolt head in the puck so the stock bump doesnt hit it.

this route you can adjust as necesssary the amount of stop you need.
