Yeah it's for the tach signal. I'd prefer to tap into it prior to going into the PCM. That way I can get a decent splice there and not cut into the factory loom much.

I was initially talking about the CRANK position sensor. However i threw out the stator because it would also cause a crank no-start.

I've replaced cap, rotor, plugs, and wires about a year ago....

From the reading I've done it's rarely the stator in the distributor (aka cam position sensor), will cause a crank no start. That never is intermittent when that goes out. I haven't heard of a map...

I've been kicking around the idea between the evo3 and the evo2 (chop saw). With the evo3 you can still cut metal (not as well due to higher RPM), although you can do both bevel and miter cuts.
