A quick search and the crown springs are 16.5”....

A quick search and the crown springs are 16.5”. That doesn’t account for spring rate though. Likely you will be fine with those as long as the diameter is the same as well.

99,00,01 had shorter roof racks. But the roofs are the same and the strips were shorter than the roof racks on the 97 & 98 so they were all the same 97-01.

I had this issue once and eventually it started blowing the fuse. It was broken wires in the boot passing from the body to the liftgate. For some reason it would only blow the fuse when unlocking....

They made them right up to 2001. Not sure how many were made. They aren’t rare even though everyone that has one for sale advertises it as rare. Less common sure but not rare yet.

Only reason to disagree is that he said he labeled them before removing. Not a guarantee he installed the new ones correctly. But if he did follow what the Haynes manual says then yes they are wrong.
