I'm not sure anyone touched on your problem of it being "nasty in there" when opening the rad cap. Can you elaborate? Sounds to me like you need a good flushing, and possibly a new radiator and water...

The hubs on Cherokees are known as a unit bearing...

The hubs on Cherokees are known as a unit bearing type hub. They're pretty easy to replace. Spend the money and get a Timken. The center hub bolt is 36mm, impact gun will make life easier for this....

Has anyone welded new brackets/perches to an 8.8 axle with a 110v MIG welder? Should I use .023 or .035 wire? Or should I take it to a buddy with 220v.....I realllly want to do this myself though...

Lol no worries. But as so not to leave everyone hanging, I basically said that my heavy-*** bumpers evened out any uneven-ness from the lift.
