Haha I should! forgot where your located at though?? And ya it's deff up there now, but It still isn't that big still a DD. Thats pretty sweet I love the comanche's hard finding one in good condition. And darn so many problems can't even lift yours yet. I was planning on getting another one and just using it as a built beat up one but cant decide yet.

I checked him out & left a message. Nice looking Jeep. Here's a write-up I give to members asking for help/advice that are doing a heater core/AC evap coil replacement.

By the way, check out the profile for jasongreg29. That's my husband's. His xj looks quite a bit different now with more lift and larger tires, and I'm sure it's about to get much more now that it's going to be his trail toy instead of his daily driver. The pic of his cherokee going through the river is actually me He needs to put up pics of our Comanche rebuild too. Now that was one heck of a project, lol.

Thanks for the heater meltdown link. I think that's part of the problem I'm having with mine. We've got another heater core for it, just waiting until I can spare the down time it'll take to fix it. (My son tore up his '97 XJ in a mud hole and is driving mine until his is back on the road.) We've never taken the dash out of mine before either, so a complete inspection of all the wires, etc. is soon to come. Cool site for the xm in the Grand too. Looks like I'll have plenty of options when the time is right to look for my WJ. Yours sounds like exactly what I'll be looking for too. XJ's are awesome on the trails, but I can't wait to wrap myself in a bit of luxury for the road

I just have the normal FM/CD/cassette radio w/the rear 10 disc changer in ours. Here's something from a WJ info site I use:
Ours in an SE w/remote entry, power everything, sunroof, heated leather seats. Those are nice when it's cold out.

Did you ever get an answer to your issue w/your heater fan problem, stalling issue? I just saw that.
The blower only running on high could be caused by a bad resistor, mounted on the heater housing, or by a melted connector. This write-up concerns the WJ but the idea's the same:
Usually when you only get air flow from the defrost that indicates a vacuum leak, a loose/missing vac line, or a cracked vacuum canister.

That sounds like my kind of ride. I'm a bit of a steering snob too. I can't stand a dead spot in it or having to fight it to keep it straight. I'll probably put in an XM radio so I don't deal with the reception crap too. I love the pioneer I put in my xj, so maybe one like it. Did yours come with the ability to plug in an ipod? I haven't really looked at what type of stereos are in the WJ. I may not have to mod a thing if it has ipod hookup. Besides, I've got enough modding to do with my XJ to last a lifetime! I agree that cruise is a big help too. My husband put cruise in my XJ and now we're working on adding electric windows and locks. His '98 came with remote entry, but I've got to do some new dash wiring to get it all to work in mine. It never ends.

Okay, my wife and I drive the WJ from Tenn. to Mich. several times a year, and it rides great. Nice comfy seats, stable ride, not as choppy as the ZJ that I used to have. The steering is precise, and you just hold the wheel steady, whereas the ZJ drove more like a truck. Harder steering, and you had to work the wheel to keep it straight. The steering wheel cruise/stereo controls make it nice on a trip too. Also, ours has the 10-disc cd changer so you're not hampered by bad radio reception.
I know more info is always useful.
