Hello, I'm new to the Cherokee forum but not new to Jeep cherokees. I've owned three over the last 10 years but this is my first A/C repair. Can you please help me with instructions on how to do an evaporator core on my 95 cherokee country? It looks like you've helped many people. Thanks

    Hello,
I see that you have helped many a member with their a/c issues. I need to replace the evaporator core in a 2000 Cherokee sport. Do you still have the have the instructions to do the job? I would greatly appreciate any assistance on the matter. Looks like a big job, but I can't see paying a shop $1200 to change a $100 part. Thanks!

Hi ol'blue. Im still around. I wanted to say thanks again for your help when i got my first jeep back in 2011. I foolishly let it go. It took me 3000 miles with no transmission fluid! I know better now though. Learned alot in 3 years. Killed a chevy cavalier and a ford taurus and bought a 500 dollar 89 which at many points i regret. =P Its a nightmare of a jeep but its getting me to work and giving me the fundage to keep fixing its...quirks. Hope you are well!

    ol"blue,
I'm about to attempt to replace the evaporator core on my 01' Jeep Cherokee (with Airbag). Seeing as you have assisted others with this project, I was wondering if you still had the link to the steps/photos involved in the process? Also, any recommendation on the part I order?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Sir,
I see you have greatly assisted a large number of our members with a set of instructions on the procedure to remove and replace the evaporator core. I have two Jeep Cherokees (square ones) a 1999 and a 2000. I believe the 2000 has a leak in the evaporator since we repaired all other visible leaks and there is still a slow leak of the r134. I would greatly appreciate it if you would send me a copy of the instructions to complete the repair. Thank you

    Hey ol blue,

I noticed you've helped some people out with replacing the evaporator core in their Cherokee.. I am about to embark on the same journey in my 99 Cherokee Sport... Any advice, guides or attachments you recommend I read? I bought a core off EBay for about 60 bucks, comparing it to other prices out there I'm already worried I got the wrong part. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nick
