Just wanted to send you a reminder to check back to my thread. I remember you posting that a couple guys in your area tried to chop and custom build their GCs and ended up crushing them. We talk about that comment often while working on my rig. It's in the final stages now and is KRAZY looking. I'd like for these guys that ended up junking theirs to see this thing. LOL!

Dunn Tire Offroad Park Closed cause the owner wanted nothing to do with it while his son wanted to keep it going and turn it into something big.. But Dad owns the place so that was that. Dunn Tire Parks promotion of the offroad park was piss poor at best and that hurt them alot. I got two mud bog comp trophies from there.. good times.. Friday 4x4 was the club I couldn't remember and I totally forgot about lake alice.. Klaus and sweeden i have never heard of. Eagle Speedway is on the res in irving ny and they hold tuff truck scorr races there as well as mud bog comps.. As far as trails go WP is it legally anyways unless you get permision or become friends with a person who has alot of land

no worries RC is out of alot of peoples budgets including mine and I had to save for a bit for WP trips.. WP is a 100 dolla trip.. Actually less but I budget for 100 bucks anyways.. Yeah not everyone is super amused by mud bog comps.. I ran two of them and it was fun but still im more of a drive around in the woods trail guy.. In WNY off the top of my head there are 8 if you include your newly formed facebook club deal.. Actually I think there is 10 but I cant remember the name of two of them.. and even the location one of them is based out of

1.3) oh however I should add that there are two clubs based out of elmira/corning and one of them own there own land and have a small offroad park set up on it.. They open it to the public twice a year.. there is also a mud bog place up near rochester that a club owns and runs that is also open to the public a few times a year..

1.2) I use to have a detailed map of all the roads in wny and kept track of all the seasonal rds I knew about but when I moved out of wny for awhile I turned over my wny atlas book to the person that took over the events job.. Way to manny offroad clubs in WNY and next to no places to wheel.. Most wheelers in WNY do it two ways.. One they have found the money tree and just go to PA once or twice a month.. Or two, they wheel illegally making a bad name for all offroaders who promote legal wheeling in hope to get land opened up to which in nys is likely to never happen..

1.1) I use to be the events coordinator for a offroad club in wny that no longer exists.. Something happened when I moved with them to which im still not sure what that something is lol.. So I can tell you that NYS is up at or near the top for worst wheeling states in the US.. EVERYTHING is private property in NYS.. Any of the wheeling you hear about locally is either A) On private land with permision, B) On private land without permision, or C) A seasonal road in which are only of a challenge in the winter.. The closest public legal place to wheel is in lyons ny called Whispering Pines.. Nice trail network.. Most of it can be done in a stock Jeep when dry however when wet it can be of some challenge if you don't have good tires. In the winter if there is snow.. A stock 4x4 would not cut it there..
