    hey man. just surfin through the forum and saw u know a lot about a transfer case. i was recently off roadin and cracked my transfer case. got any experience in removal and installation? any idea how difficult it may be

    Are you talking about the unit bearing?? If so, try finding a piece of steel, a bolt works great to use. I found this trick online, and it works awesome. DS, turn the wheels to the DS to full lock. On the front side of the axle, place a bolt, unsure of length, on the inner face of the bearing assy, and have someone turn the wheels to the PS. As this happens, the "bolt" should come in contact with the inner c right at the axle tube itself. Oh, have the engine running if you can!! Now you can use the steering to press out the assy. Reverse the process for the PS. Hope this helps bud!!
