    goodmorning
    Knocking sound from engine
I have Grand cherokee 6 Cylinder 4.0 L model 2000. I was thinking that my jeep has carbon on valves. while the engine was running and hot I add a lot of Diesel in the air intake hoping that diesel will clean carbon and will goout from exhaust as wet smoke , suddenly the engine start giving loud knocking sound. Now I opened the Head and replaced Lifters , I have observed Pistons from the top but looks OK.but sound is still there. I noticed if I will remove the the rocker push rod for Piston#2 then sound disappear , I have try to exchange Rockers and Push rods, grind valves but same situation. Any advice to dignose the problem will be appreciated
    Thanks - Zahid
