Kinda hard to gauge right now because I'm chasing down another issue. I upgraded to the Accel for durability and the fact that Accel is a quality brand and I know I can trust it to last longer than auto-parts brand-x, etc. I'm still running 7mm wires and I'm running a .040" gap instead of the .035" gap on the plugs. I need to replace the CPS or the Sync Sensor in the distributor before I'll really know anything, but I'll keep ya posted. I will say that you WILL hear the coil firing when you relocate it to the firewall though. But as soon as you turn the radio or AC on, you can't hear it anymore.

I would recommend Accel though even is based solely on being a better built coil. OH... and if you're curious, it's a 42,000 volt coil. The MSD is a 40,000 volt and the D.U.I. Screamin' Demon is a 45,000 volt coil. I was wanting to go with the DUI, but I kinda got impatient, PLUS I wanted to wait until I upgraded the wires and got the way it's running straightened out before I did all that.

Thanks, sorry, that's my old XJ. Yeah those Uniroyal Laredos were given to me and they sat in a garage before that for 2 years. NEVER had an issue with them. They were really great. I did the rims in my apartment....you could smell it in the hallway and down the stairs. My neighbor, who is still a friend, came over to see if I was painting my whole apt. then he joined in and helped.

My new jeep has different rims, and I painted them too, but not quite done with them yet.

I will add though that I would only get them in the 315/75/16 size if rocks are on the menu. The rest of them have weaker sidewalls (Load C=6ply, Load D= 8ply, Load E=10Ply on top, All sizes of durratrac are 2ply sidewalls except 315/75/16 which are 3ply)

Yes! I usually have to drive along ways to get to those locations and the Durratracs last me between 55,000-70,000 miles and are quiet/handle well the entire way. They are the best tire I have ever ran on snow/ice. They are not that great in the mud (I've ran boggers/LTBS/etc) but do fine on the rocks. All in all, the only tire i MIGHT try is the Fierce Attitude M/Ts. Other than that, after running 15 or so different tires, I plan on sticking with the Durratracs.

Thank you! I love rotties, and all the personality that comes with them, but their ruggedness really shines on the trails. They are strong enough to keep up, but not wander off and great at keeping bears, bobcats, coyotes, and snakes away from the campsite. These guys are fearless when it comes to protecting what they consider theirs, which includes me and my Jeep!

Oh yeah, we got some here too. Not enough to do much damage though, and I don't recall hearing about any power outages either. I was out salting for the majority of the storm though...roads got slick pretty quick

I definitely love the area here, and don't think I'd really enjoy living elsewhere.. I'm not a fan of big city's, and like the fact that I'm close to beautiful camping and wheeling areas. I've seen your floor revival thread, and have to admit that's a lot more work than I ever would of done (my floors are bad but mainly the front, and planning the HD rockers also).

Sounds like you have a few good projects going. I have a huge to-do list for mine, just keep getting sidetracked lol, like buying another XJ (it's an addiction now) on Sunday. My XJ loves pictures too (unlike it's owner), but never cleans herself up for them haha.
