Hey man I saw in a thread you said you cut just below the leaf spring nut to access it and never welded the hole back up and after 15 years it's still gtg. Is this true? I'm just making sure as I'm in the same boat, I can weld but would rather leave it open for future leaf spring work, it just seems with a hole right under the nut it would compromise the integrity of the mount, I can weld if need be but like I said I'd rather leave it open. Hey man - I just read your thread on changing drum brakes. Great info and photos. But I'm confused: since I saw coil springs in the photos, that makes me think those are front brakes. My front brakes aren't drum brakes. I am looking for info on replacing my rear, drum brakes (which will be in front of my leaf springs.) Was this an XJ or something else? Thanks!

as far as i know, it is legal. i think it has something to do with the high rocker/low floor thing as so nothing falls out, including your feet i guess.
stitch had a 4 door xj with no doors, roof and pillers were cut off, it was caged and no problems with the authorities.
i've heard many times the xj doors are not structural. so i would say it's fine.
the law is interpreted in many ways.

Have you heard of using wj knuckles on a D30 build? Are there any advantages? Saw this question raised in another thread but no conclusive reasoning. I'll be out at the winter fun day sunday, if your there we could kick the idea around or was the other thread misled? Thanks, Pete, Peep

I just pulled my rear wiper motor, how do I test if it works?
If it isn't the motor, then would it be a problem with the switch? because the other 2 rocker switches work so i don't think it's that.
