    Hello RockyMtn96XJ,
    I am sending you a message in hopes that you may know more than myself, in regards to the xj's. I actually own a 97 Cherokee (xj) country. I have been having issues with shifting recently. Not sure if you have encountered shifting issues or have any knowledge about the 42re transmission but at this point I believe any info would help.
