Jeep spudder/no power problem?? Need help...

I have a 96 RED Jeep cherokee. 4.0 straight six automatic. it recently started spuddering real bad. I replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter and still nothing. It does idle but really low and does not have good power. Need some help on what it could be???

Fuel Pump?

MAP sensor maybe?

cheapest thing to check first is replace the fuel filter

Maybe bad spark plug wire?? Can you see any sparks at night? maybe shorting out....and make sure all the vacuum lines are properly in place?

have you moded the exhaust at all.. cuz i knoe when i went to straight off the headers i had the same problem untill i adjusted the distributor for the lack of resistance.. also try your air filter or could you have gotten water in your gas?
