Wk2 v6 street performance

Hey everybody,
So my wife and I have this WK2 3.6 V6, 8spd auto, quadratrac awd. Has anyone done street mods (headers, exhaust, cams, etc.) ?

I will probably be keeping this jeep street because it's our family hauler, lots of pavement time.

I'd suggest an aftermarket exhaust. Mopar probably even sells one, which will allow you to keep the factory warranty and make sure it's tested properly to fit seamlessly onto your Jeep.

The 3.6 is pretty quick... especially when put in 'Sport' Mode. We went from an '05 4.7L V8 Grand Cherokee WK to the 3.6L V6 in our '14 Grand Cherokee WK2, and there's noticeably more power and fuel economy. Part of that has to do with the 845RE transmission, as opposed to the older 545RFE transmission (which was standard issue on early 2011 WK2's). The transmission also makes for a quieter and more compliant ride as well. :)

So I've been asking around in the wk2 Facebook groups and it sounds like the exhaust manifold is actually a complete part of the engine heads on the 3.6. No bolts or anything, just actually cast into the head from the factory so you can get downpipes and after cat but no cat delete and no head swap
