Transfer case linkage

Hey I have a 94 zj v8 5.2 and I'm have some trouble going into reverse and drive. It shifts really slow and when I give it some gas it's making a grinding noise. I'm new to this stuff so I don't really know what's going on. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's your transmission, not your transfer case.
