Rear Tire Carrier Fabrication - anyone?
 

I looked for a rear tire carrier (bumper type, not one that plugs into the receiver) and they are all about a grand. anyone make one yet? I am thinking it cannot be that tough to fabricate one.

one other thing I was thinking, would it be possible to mount a tire to the rear hatch door? the weight would be too much for the gas shocks to support and I would have to upgrade those, but how about the door handling the additional weight? that would be much cheaper. I could pick up a hatch mount from the JY for cheap.
