Lifting my WJ . . . ???'s

I want to lift my jeep. Have a few questions . . . (And yes, I've searched on this topic. If anything . . . there's too much info and none answered my ???'s)
Never done this to a vehicle, but would like a little more clearance and it looks cool. Also, easier to get in & out cause the seat is higher!
So . . . My Jeep is mostly my around town puddle jumper with the occasional freeway trip to hunting ground. Mountain roads, Nat'l Forest, etc.
How much lift can I do without adding a bunch of parts. I see where 4" lifts require different shocks, tie rods, bigger tires, etc. to accommodate the greater reach/lift.
Are there better brands of lifts over another. There has to be junk out there and I want to avoid them! I like the look (ease of installation) of some type of Spring Spacers. Maybe 2 - 2.5". There's a Rough Country kit on Amazon for $270.00 with spacers, shocks. Do I need all that? Any help will be appreciated.

I have a 2.5 inch with 1 inch budget boost and 32s my suggestion as a daily driver don't lift it but if you want to 3.5 is the highest you can go in most ...I say most without modifications however you need to find out if you have a CV or double cardan shaft for the front if you have CV change it out as any lift will cause extra stress and cause premature failure

Does Fat Bob's make their own kit?
