Default Interior lighting funky stuff

Please let me know if this issue is posted elsewhere.

This week I replaced all the interior lights of my 2000 WJ Laredo with some LED's. They work great, nice little QOS upgrade. Replaced the interior lights on my 2000 WJ Limited today and the reading lights over the back seat are funky. When a door opens, they are nice and bright.. But when you click to turn them on ( with engine off) they dim, almost don't look like they turn on. With the engine running they are as bright as I expect them to be. I checked the same situations in the Laredo and they work great. Any ideas?

The interior lights are controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module). These tend to have issues on WJ's (mine included).
