improved braking??
i installed better rotors and brakes which helped, but are there any modifications out there that will help the jeep to stop on a dime, like a booster from a different jeep or some other change?

You may not agree, but it's the added diameter of the tires plus the weight that's causing the problem. It requires more torque from the brakes to stop the rotation of the wheels. You need larger diameter rotors or dual piston calipers to do much to help. In other words, more swept area. You could do a WJ changeover, but then you'd need new wheels or adapter spacers.

I just though about something. The WJ rear axles are longer than the ZJs so that may not work, but the fronts could be bastardized with u-joint axles with WJ outers and ZJ inners.
There must be some kind of aftermarket product to install better brakes on a ZJ. |
there certainly is a lot of leverage on those brakes Dave. the path of least resistance would be the twin pistons, know where i might find a set? everything else you suggested sounds like too much work...

There is some bigger brake kits http://www.shop.blackmagicbrakes.com...and-17_c84.htm and http://www.tandrperformance.com/braking.html or if you can weld the wj knuckle swap is a option

I NEVER said it would be easy! Those T&R kits look nice, but are a bit pricey. You could probably stick with the stock rears because most of the braking is done by the fronts anyway.

On the rear end a 8.8 swap would be the best option for disc,he could run alot of rear big brake kits or mustang cobra brakes.
