I'm having weird issues the dash lights flicker and stay dim my mileage counter is always wrong it has about 234k the trans slips in first then its fine its chewing up belts ( using them up in like 3 months) my battery drains on me all the time so I got a quick disconnect for the battery cause I can't find the source of the batt. Drain

Honestly, Its a ZJ thing. Seems most of them get strange wiring gremlins. Mine has a parasitic battery drain issue that I can't find, so I just disconnect the battery when I'm not using the jeep. The trans issue is probably the transmission starting to go out... sad to say.

So you have an XJ and a ZJ?
