How to achieve more ground clearance

So after listening to a person talk about how to get more ground clearance and making no sense what so ever I thought I'd ask the question here. How do we achieve more ground clearance with out loosing the functionality of our Jeep's off road? I know that lifts and tire size is part of the puzzle. So for example my jeep has a 3 inch lift and 31x10.50 15 tires. How would I get more ground clearance under my axles with out going over my current lift height or loosing the off road functionality.

The only way to increase axle clearance is bigger tires. And I think you mean to say lose ON road ability. Any lift or bigger tires generally will improve off road ability. Up to where you center of gravity then begins to be a issue.

It's all a compromise between street ability and off road performance.

I agree. If this is a highway/daily driver, stop worrying about it. If its trail rig, go HIGHER!

Axle clerance isn't everything, enough flex will help overcome that. Look into LCOG set up's. Also if you're willing a tummy tuck will help out tremendously.

Cut out bushwackers and 33s and the right bumpstops can give you more clearance with out lifting higher.

That is what I was meaning thank you! And that's what I was thinking. The guy talking was all over the place about rim size and body lifts haha.

It's dual purpose. It's currently the daily but also the weekend adventure rig. By next summer it will be more trail rig than daily. Once the wife and kids get more used to jeeping then I'll buy another for daily use And go all out with this one.

What's a LCOG and when you say tummy tuck I'm guessing you are talking about the belly pan correct?

Lcog low center of gravity. And yes about the belly pan.
