Do I need extended sway bar links?

I am installing a 2.5 inch lift on my 01 wj Laredo. inline six. Do i also need to install extended sway bar links? Do not need quick disconnects, this Jeep only sees offroading occasionaly. If i do need them any recomendations on what Brand, or where I can purchase them. I have seen various different styles and most do not resemble stock.

at 2.5 inches, you will be fine with stock end links. would it hurt to go with extended? not likely. so go with stock, if you end up snapping one, then maybe go with extended. even if you get disconnects, you can still use them and not disconnect them. they are usually longer than stock and may be your only option.

As long as the sway bar ends are horizontal and not pointed down, you should be fine. If they are pointed down, you could snap the ends of the bar off as well as breaking the links.

you are fine unless you go above 3 inches i currently have a 2.5 inch lift im installing this weekend and debating throwing the 3/4 inch spacers under it or not because there is a possibility of dw without the lca/uca and the lack of a spacer for the back limits me right now so it will sit until i get everything else which if you wish to go higher get the long arm kit or you will ride like a dump truck and after 3 you will need a front track/pan hard bar ...from what ive found riding in a friends with a 4 inch lift with short arms , you wont need brake lines until roughly 4 because you can drill new holes and move the mounting bracket down 1 inch.. i came into this not knowing much of anything and discovering that though it says jeep each one is a different breed of animal i use to be all xj throw thunderbird springs under the front with a 1 inch spacer and put an s-10 cherokee spring combo in the rear drill a new track bar hole adjust the shoes for caster and call it a day

and when i say each is a different breed of animal....i include each one of the same make model and year you can buy the same lift for 3 identical jeeps and have a different issue for each one

pretty easy enough watch your knuckles on the brake dust cover though almost lost a knuckle doing it i took it for a test run 75mph no death wobble no alignment issues has small hum from front shaft in 4wd but can be resolved with a simple flip of the cardon shaft
