Biggest Tires on a stock 97 ZJ?

Ive got a 1997 Grand Cherokee with no lift, does anyone know the largest tire I can fit without one? Trimming the bumper if need be is no problem, Ive got 15" wheels currently.

I put brand new 31” mud claws (10.50 with a factory 15” wheel) on with no lift. They rubbed at full lock. So I decided to add 1.5 wheel spacers because I like the wide stance. That eliminated all rubbing except bumper, which just needed the corners trimmed. Good luck 👍🏼 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...f48e43ea0.jpeghttps://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...d70ddf3f1.jpeg

Thank you for the reply, this is probably what I'll end up doing till i get around to buying a lift!

I did BFgoodrich AllTerrains k02. Installed 2'' BB lift. Put tires on before the lift and it would rub the bottom front bumper where the inner fender attaches to the bumper. trimmed the bumper a bit and still grabs it when turning in reverse.

I know you're asking about a stock lift but just for reference with my 6 inch lift I can go as largest 33 any larger and it starts rubbing wheel wells

The second you put the words "lift" in or "trimming" your not stock anymore.

Nobody can really give you a good answer as there many factors including spring sag.

With 16" rims I would say possibly a 245/70 but Google would probably net better answers.
