Friends AX started grinding so he took it out and brought it to me. I split the case and found the input shaft and main gear cluster were toast.

WGMG, when these people are too damn cheap and lazy to clean or replace their very badly yellowed headlights. So what do they do?!...they drive around everywhere with high beams on, looking like obnoxious fog lamps, but yet they want to flash you (but you're on low beam) because they can't see?!.

Also people with daytime driving lights who drive at night without turning on their real headlights! Half the time you don't see them until they hit the brakes, especially on the highway.

what’s currently grinding my gears:

old appliances. namely the clothes dryer. been a rough 6 months with it. first the control panel died, then the heating element died and now the thermal fuse died. however, i am quite the clothes dryer repairman. i have basically replaced every part except the drum and motor. a couple years ago one of the rollers locked up so after this i should be good to go for awhile. bought it in 07 and it basically has ran 24/7 since, no complaints about performance as it does it’s job very well. after proper diagnosis, i *temporarily jumped the fuse with a very small pair of vice grips and a rubber glove. i’ll get a proper wire connection on it today to hold me over until the fuse gets here. yippie ki yay.

I love it when people get pissed off because I don't smoke or vape.

Lately my laptop which is only around 2.5 years old has really been struggling. It's not a cheap basic laptop either. It was the recommended laptop for my major when I started college, and I'm pretty sure it's still the recommended laptop because I haven't seen any newer models around campus yet. Point is it's an expensive laptop that I ordered with extra ram and a larger SSD and it's been slow and crashing and I just lost a page of my lab report I'm typing because Word crashed. That's not even a demanding application. Last year I had to replace the battery in it because it was swelling and would only hold a charge for 30 minutes, so what is failing this year? Will it make it till graduation? I guess we'll see.

Seems to be a race to the bottom lately in terms of quality. On the other hand I have a circa-2003 Dell laptop that, aside from the battery, refuses to die, and I'm typing this on a 2006-vintage Acer TravelMate. (Both are running Linux so they have an up-to-date OS.)

I got a cheap Lenovo lap top a few months ago to use strictly as my tuning software computer. Its nothing fancy but it does have a SSD which I wanted. WGMG about it - comes with 32g of memory, which is fine since all my tuning programs are small. But what they dont say is that it comes with 25g of preloaded junk. So in reality, I only have 7g left of memory....

The constant , nonstop repeat threads with the same questions , same answers , same people responding every single day on here ... drives me up the wall. I really enjoy the site for everything else and there are a lot of entertaining builds and conversation that takes place...but search function for the love of God!

Gonna punch my managers face in..... 4 Hours it took to swap rims on this tow truck, Switched from aluminum rims to steel but in the process the rear wheels were stuck on the hub so bad to the point i just said screw it and left a little gap on the lug nuts and ran the tires into some curbs and took 20 minutes to finally break one side free. Took the ***** off and ill just say this 225/80/19.5 whatever tires these were were friggin HEAVY to begin with and broke our duck bill in the process so onto a metal one and just constant battling with this i finally got all 6 tires done and the guy got all this work for a steal at 40 dollars in total for the whole job. Easy to say i was extremely pissed about this whole thing and the guy didnt even tip atleast nope just *****ed about a tire being half a pound low and took off. I hope his engine blows. Oh the cherry ontop was when he wrote the work order up he basically went good luck and left to go to a party. Also before you say yes we tried a few methods we could and broke 3 pry bars trying to get the rear wheels off and inflating the tires with a block of wood between the tires and thought about a chisel gun but couldnt due to ruining the wheels so last choice was this. thats why this thing took 4 hours to do ontop of the manager giving an estimated time of 45 minutes to do this crap the customer was basically breathing down my back on this bs. Horrible day lol my back is screaming in agony. I hope my manager gets so drunk he has a 4 day hangover. We arent even supposed to be working on these but he said 40 dollars is 40 dollars. i wanted to tell him to shove it where the sun dont shine.

Your manager sounds like he doesnít know what heís doing . Iíve been on ALL day fights to get rear duals off ... even so far as to hook a chain to a skid loader and all it did was drag the truck sideways . The place of business with the same name you work for youíve mentioned before here will barely change a tire on a normal car here ... I am going to guess manager took the job out of pure ignorance . Also donít know how he only got charged 40 dollars ? Disposal fees , mount and balance etc at your place of business is a lot more than that ...10 dollars a tire for mount only no balance , 15 a tire for mount and balance if purchased there 25 each if purchased elsewhere . However ... what the customer pays at a place of business such as yours has no effect on you and really shouldnít be your concern youíre getting paid for a job you signed up for at an amount you are agreeing to by showing up every day . If youíre unhappy start filling out applications elsewhere ! Nothing worse than being unhappy at your workplace .
