So I just got a workbench in my garage and I'm starting to outfit it with the stuff I need to work on things and beat on my [drive]shaft when I need to service it. I was wondering what size air compressor I would need to use a pmumatoc Dremel or something like that. Not an impact gun because my garage door doesn't open up because it's now an actual room. So I was thinking about getting a battery powered impact drill for working on my Jeep? I wouldn't mind a compressor I could move around if I needed to.

Something I've been working on for....longer than I'd like to admit:

That's the Mostly Printed CNC Machine (MPCNC) in my workshop. It's got a 3W laser on it in that picture, but I've also got heads for a vinyl cutter and a DW660 router. The way I built it, it's got about a 20" x 20" working area. Someday I'll also put a dual-extruder 3D printer head on it, too.

I'm still working the bugs out of it, but it's promising.

Dude that is AWESOME! I am going to college for car design and we use large Cnc machines to turn a block of thick dense foam into the base of our 1:8 scale car designs which we will then cover with clay to get the body and details perfect. This machine is awesome man!

That's how I got my start. SAE Mini Baja team. First team to use carbon fiber as a structural material, back in 2000. Always wanted my own CNC machine, and collected many, many plans over the years.

The problem was always that the first step seemed to be "First, make these parts on the CNC machine you already have." And I was always like "Well, if i had a CNC machine, I wouldnt need to make a CNC machine."

The MPCNC is a lot like that because the first step is "take your CNC 3D Printer and make these parts" but this time I actually had a 3D printer.

Started doing some PM on my womans 98 Honda Civic. water pump, timing belt, tensioner, alt/ps/ac belts, cam cover gasket set. crank pulley bolt has to come off. Every trick I have used in the past did not work to get the bolt loose. I know they make a tool for this but I was confident that my bag of tricks would be enough. I was wrong. So I had to make something to fit inside the stop sign shaped opening while letting a socket pass through and stopping the engine from turning. the long piece goes against the torque mount and bam shes loose. also works the other way around

In case anybody's interested, Ebay is having a sale in their "Deals" section on the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" impact kit with the charger, two batteries and case for $328. Brand new, not reconditioned. It's about $100 cheaper than anywhere else I've seen this kit, so I bought one.

Now that's interesting. When I clicked on your link, Firefox opened it in a protected browser! Are they telling me e-bay is not to be trusted?

And when I click on that link myself, stupid Ebay is now redirecting me to the Canadian Ebay site.

In any case, the item number is 222259611041. If you go to Ebay and put that number in the search box, that item will show up. It's still showing $328 for me, but I don't know how long it will stay that way.

The link never showed me the price, just "make an offer." All I was curious about was the visual and features anyway. Well, it does say "see price at checkout."

You have to click that "see price at checkout" link. Then it shows you the price, but you're not committing to anything yet. You don't actually have to buy it at that point if you don't want it.

I hate it when sellers do that. I wonder how many sales they miss out on because people are afraid to click the link and never actually see the price.
