Default Since I can't work on my Jeep I decided to pimp my Xbox 360

I got board and decided to tear my 360 to pieces. I ordered a few parts for it also. I bought a clear wind tunnel, clear fans with red LEDs and red LED strips to light up the inside.

So I tore it apart and cut a hole in the top.

I also decided to cut the DVD drive lid.

Well I painted the xbox, the face plate, the hard drive, the DVD drive cover and the top and bottom covers all satin black.
(still wet)

Since I'm putting red LEDs in it I decided to paint the front and rear XBOX360 red.(bad pics)

All thats left after the paint dries, is get a piece of plexi glass for the window and wait for the parts to come in. I really hope it works after I get it back together.

I'll update the pics as I get more work done to it.

Sweet. I love seeing custom work on computers and consoles. Can't wait to see it finished and lit up.

Mine gets the "Ring of Death" about every year, and a half. So I don't do too much to it. Play it while I still have it.

I've gotten the Red Ring of Death too. Microsoft replaced it with this xbox but the warranty ran out on it a year ago so if it does RRoD then I'm going to get the new Xbox 360 slim.

both of my halo editions got the red ring. microsoft repaired them for free. then the video card went out on one and they fixed it for 90 bucks. they covered the red rings even though mine were way out of warranty and one i was not the original owner for. i also have a regular white model and i am going to send it to them here soon because its having a hard time reading disks. they take care of you when you call them and send your unit back. it comes home like a brand new one plus they give you a free xboxlive card.

i love my xbox 360s

Same here, I just replaced it last year. And the last time, I had one fixed. It came back with parts missing. I was pissed!

it came back without the face plate? that is normal because you are supposed to remove it send the unit in, wonder how i found out? same way you did. since they couldn't find my original one though, they sent me a brand new halo green faceplate, which is cool.

Didn't you know the RRoD was an achievement? See here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-app...x/gaming/c3da/

Got the glass mounted on the top cover last night. I cheated a bit on it and used some acrylic instead of plexiglass. I found the acrylic picture holders at wal-mart for $2.50 and cut them to size with my dremel. I hot glued them in and it came out great. I'm still waiting on my LED fan, LED lights and clear wind tunnel to come in(they should be here today).

Wow, thats pretty cool looking. I'll probably end up doing the same thing if one of mine break & it's out of warranty.

thanks I'm pretty happy with it. Now if the USPS would hurry up and deliver the final parts I can be done with it and clean the inside really good. I'm amazed at the amount of dust on the inside of it. Should run a lot cooler with the whisper fans and no dust built up on the inside.

specs on the new fan
The new Talismoon Whisper Xbox 360 Replacement Fan moves 58% more air than the original, yet is 7% quieter.
DC Power: 12V (at 5v)- Original Fan: 12V (at 5v)

Current: 160mA - Original Fan: 250mA

Speed: 4100RPM - Original Fan: 4600RPM
Air flow: 46CFM - Original Fan: 29CFM

Loudness: 38d(B)a - Original Fan: 41d(B)a
