Well I googled it and that's exactly what these are. Corvette wheels. Apparently it's a popular swap...

Alright, I know this just looks like a piston, and it is, but it is a lot more then that too. After 7 months of waiting, JE finally came through with a good set of pistons for me. Due to the amount of time it took, I have already missed my first 2 races for this season. And that really sucks cause now I cant qualify for the free entry to the Optima Ultimate Street Car race that you get to see on TV. So long story short, I am very happy to get these pistons so I can throw the Bug back together and start racing again but very sad that this season is ruined. Lets just hope I build the engine right and it stays together.

Looks like you're getting it real smooth for that perfect finish... I'll probably just spray paint mine...

Look up "roll on paint jobs". Thats what I will be doing eventually. Super cheap to do, dont need anything fancy but takes a lot of prep and sanding to make look good.

I saw it, like half mineral spirits half rustoleum paint, sand the crap out of it. Do a few coats. I'm thinking something like this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dZr560...ature=youtu.be
Do some unique fun paint job... I mean why not have fun with it right?

Nailed it! Do it before me so you can tell me how bad the sanding is.

Don't want to do sanding... I'll see if I can convince a friend to do it haha

Lol, but once that's all done, the actual painting is the easy part! Painting a car isn't hard, it's all the pre and post prep work that kills you.

And yeah, if anybody is curious, sanding sucks.

Lol, aren't you planning on selling that later? **** painting it. Ditch the ghetto-bomber vette rims, run a buffer over it. Done!

Run a buffer over all the missing clear coat and gouges in the paint? And depends on how much I like it and if I need the money or not I guess as far as selling it goes. But while I have it might as well try new things on it. Actually buying another Jetta here soon

Ah, yeah once the clear pops there's not much to be done. That's exactly why I repainted the hood and roof on the Ranger. Sanded it smooth, used water-borne primer, and painted with single stage instead. It'll last ages, and be much easier to touch up scratches and chips.
