Default Got a present from a large neighbor.....

...but I didn't find it for several years after the bull elk knocked it off on one of our trees. Its in good shape but bleeched white. I'd like to get it looking like it did when he dropped it. Just want to go back in the earth tone direction. I have several kinds of tinted stains, watco, teak oil, linseed boiled and un. Perhaps there is something better, Wax? Thanks for your time. I'm pretty sure it was this guy, he was around the house a while about that time, I remember wonder wonder where he dropped the thing. I was about 500 feet and up the side of the mesa a ways.

Potassium manganate??? Might have spelled that wrong I'd have to look it up. It's actually purple, available at most hardware stores. Very commonly used to restore bleached antlers. Apply and rinse off. May take a second treatment to achieve desired colors. I've used different stains in the past. Many will look great at first but fade rather quickly.
