Certs vs. Degree

Default Certs vs. Degree

HI I was looking into getting a auto tech degree or certifications... Im leaning towards certs. Anyone have any insight they can lend?

It depends what you plan on doing with it. It may be better to get the certs, then work with them until you figure out where you're headed. Then you can go back to get your degree.

My step-dad got out of the Navy in 46 and started working with engineers at Pratt&Whitney making improvements to the Wasp engine. After a while, they wanted to make him a project manager, but because he didn't have that sheepskin, he didn't get the position. As luck would have it, the Navy called him back to train pilots for Korea and he finally retired as a full commander.
