Just wondering if anyone has used a capacitor to help out with draw from the battery for their lightbar systems or whatnot? i dont currently have a lightbar but i am purchasing one to put on so id like to do it without upgrading my alt if possible.

LED bars (even big ones) draw minimal current, it's one of the many pros of the LED and a larger alt is not needed for a simple add on like that.
Capacitors store energy to release on quick, short bursts of current shortages.
