Default Offroad Lights - LED vs Xenon HID

XJ is in need of some offroad lights. I was initially going to get a 50" LED light bar and mount it above the windshield, but before I spend money I thought it best to ask for input. Do they even make Xenon HID spot lights? I could see where 4 (or 5) Xenon HID spot lights on the roof would give me some incredible nighttime vision, but does it make since?

Also, I read about a lot of people getting wind noise from LED light bars. They talk about putting insulation in the fins to disrupt the airflow. Do spot lights have this issue?

This is my curved 50". I mounted it at roof top height. No whistling and replaced the flood with spot reflectors. No noise in this position. It seems to happen when the bar is above the roof top level.

Only draw back is that it lights up the hood too. But it does light about 2 acres at a distance of 250'

When I first saw that line, my instant reaction was, "That's insanity!"

But I thought about it for a few seconds, and I realized that's not accurate.

That's stupidity.

Those fins are there for a reason. They are there to dissipate heat. Plug them up and your expensive LEDs aren't going to last very long at all.

And then these idiots will whine about the poor quality of the lights.

If you can't deal with the wind noise over the fins, don't use LEDs.
