Default OBD Fusion App

After downloading the Fusion app and plugging in the OBD II Forseal scan tool, The Check Engine Light came on; throttle position sensor low voltage. The TPS is about 2 months old and was purchased from Napa. Since there was no CEL before I plugged in the scanner I'm wondering if it somehow caused the TPS to fail, or did it find a fault that hadn't fully developed yet?

Anyone have experience with OBD II scanners causing problems?

Thanks!

I have never had an OBD2 sensor cause an issue

The aftermarket TPS units are generally not taht good. I have gone through 3 BWD sensors in the last 5 years after my stock on died.
Lifetime warranty, ftw
