Hi y'all,

My girlfriend recently got her first XJ to carry on the familial torch of XJ ownership. I've been doing some work on it myself to add some quality of life additions to the former bare bones base model that used to be a Verizon wireless/frontier fleet vehicle.

The radio is busted and doesn't even have a cassette player in it. I'm trying to find a 1.5 Din headunit that fits, has a multislot CD player, and aux port that works for it. The thing is, all the new flashy head units with big screens/apple car play/what have you, just don't fit the classic 90's/early 2000's feel that we are looking for. Would love to find something with a similar feel to this Pioneer DEH-P77DH that I know fits an XJ based on pics I've found of it installed online. Just would love to have that Multi CD slot integrated in the front so we don't have to hide a chunky CD changer somewhere random in the car and get out of the car or into an awkward position just to change a CD in it.

I know they make a double din bezel kit that we could get but we're trying to keep the Jeep fairly stock or at least have it feel like what "should have been" stock.

CD player head units are pretty much ancient history. Your best best for finding a multidisk headunit would be ebay.

What do you mean by aux port? Do you mean stereo mini or RCA?

If you want a modern headunit with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, the Sony XAV double din headunits are almost a bolt-in affair. No cutting is needed. I've got one in my XJ. They are great except phone call audio is oddly tinny sounding.
