Installation keyless entry
 

Good evening everyone, Recently came to this forum, after my presentation, I come here to ask you for help. I have been trying since yesterday to connect a rec ct43 to take advantage of the remote opening of the doors of my xj of 89. I opened the ceiling hatch to connect the 4 wires to the box. I set up a remote control, but it doesn't work. However, the configuration of the remote control went as indicated on the manual. I then tried to plug into the door control in the panel at the foot of the passenger door. On the green and brown thread, it doesn't work either. The fuse is good. And the door locking system works perfectly when controlling both doors. Can you help me? Thank you!

I would say try and get an overhead console out of a newer (1993-96) XJ, especially one of a higher trim with keyless entry (i.e. a Classic or a Country). That system is shared with the 1993-95 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ, so you could possibly take a module from one of those as well.
