How to disable Panic Button
I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. While in my front pocket, the remote control is constantly being bumped setting off the panic horn and lights. I have tried to protect it by placing it in a leather pouch, but it still gets set off. One day I walked into the garage and the engine was running -- apparently not too long as the garage was not filled with carbon monoxide.
Question: Does anyone know how to disable a portion of the remote dealing with the Panic Button and possible the remote start -- I still have to carry the remote to use the automatic door locks and push button start. |
Never mind. Problem solved with use of hard plastic cover taped over panic button.

I still wonder what's going on to double tap the remote start button? And the vehicle is in the garage yet no one heard the horn sound?
