How to connect Viper Alarm to power locks?
1 Attachment(s)
I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.0L, 4x4
About three years ago, I had installed a Viper Alarm to my Jeep. The Viper model I had installed was either VIPER 4105V, Viper 350...I don't really remember However, the Viper alarm only works to active/deactivate the alarm. The locking/unlocking door feature does not work. Even back then, the factory wireless key entry for locking/unlocking door was not working either. I remember the tech guy at best buy told me that I had to buy a device, but I never followed. Anyway, recently I thought that this would be a nice feature to have...but how would I get started to make this happen? |
Get the installer manual and buy the part

Adding the lock feature
If you get me the model number of your viper alarm I can look up which wires to hook to what to have it work the door locks.
Part | Wire Color in Car | Location in car. POWER LOCK | ORANGE/VIOLET and PINK/BLACK (TYPE C) See NOTE *2 | IN BOTH FRONT DOORS, See DIAGRAM POWER UNLOCK | PINK/BLACK (TYPE C) See NOTE *2 | IN BOTH FRONT DOORS, See DIAGRAM NOTE *2 Use ORANGE/VIOLET for LOCK and PINK/BLACK for UNLOCK at the DRIVERS DOOR SWITCH. Use BLACK/WHITE for LOCK and PINK/BLACK for UNLOCK at the passenger front door switch.
