I wanted to see if anyone else had done this, I’m hoping to install a alpine iva-d106 flipout 7” touchscreen in my 1990 xj and will have issues clearing the dash w/o the swap. I opened her up to take a look and there is a big abs piece behind the hvac unit that would prevent the depth needed. I found someone else who did it in the link below but hasn’t been active since 2014 and wanted any tips, and to find out if cutting the abs will be alright.
