Headlight Harness Upgrade Issues

I recently have been having headlight problems and traced the problem back to the connecter underneath the airbox which was wicked corroded. I removed the connector and everything was back to normal (actually better than it has been since i've owned it).
At the same time I thought that I would make the headlight harness as described on http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm. I double and triple checked all of the connections and it still wont work. Instead of getting high beam and low beam selection, the low beams operate the right headlight. When i toggle the high beams the right headlight turns off completely and the left turns on.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Ive taken it on and off 5 or 6 times at this point and checked to make sure I followed the write up and I can't see any issues.

I suggest you buy one from jhc7399 for $18 and be done with it.

Seriously... how much is your time worth?

This may sound dumb, but did you use two relays and follow his exact instructions? I just did this recently myself.

Can you tell which beams are on, low or high? My thought is you may have wired the left light to one relay and right to the other. That way the relays would be for left/right instead of one each for low/high beams.

Or that the low beam power wires from each relay are going to the same headlight one connected to the high and one to the low.

I definitely will go check that tomorrow when I have time. Makes sense but hard to believe I wouldn't have caught that at least one of the times that I retraced my steps.
