Default Which fuse or relay no power on cluster, radio, dome lights and locks

changed radio and rewired the harness i grabbed all the wires and they touched, i herd a spark, im thinking blown fuse or relay, i checked most of the fuses on the pass side floor wall, i do not have a owners maunal if someone could tell me if they are all linked together, or would loose wires on the back of the cluster cause this, the dome light are out to which leaves me to think its not loose wires. Thank you

In my 89 it's a 10 or 15 amp fuse if I'm not mistaken. If you have a test light you can to find the one.

In the passenger kick panel there is some fuses. At the very top is 3 25amp fuses that are larger than the lower two rows. Its one of those

It's the IOD fuse in the PDC. Look under the cover of the PDC, it shows the location.

Thanks for the follow up.

Remember, always remove the battery negative post connector when working on Jeep electrical systems - even removing and reinstalling sensor connectors.

Cheers.

It's a whole different animal in the 97+

Our interior fuse panel is on the driver side above the left foot. In the 97+ (essentially all OBDII XJs), it's on the passenger side of the dash when you open the passenger door. Even uses the tiny fuses.

My lights did the same thing although mine shorted out while on the highway in pitch black so that was a scary experience. Any ways the fuse that fixed my problem was #6 fuse, its the 5 amp one. The fuse panel cover doesnt have a 5 amp spare so you will have to go buy one if you dont already have a spare, I hope this helps. PS. a known thing to short out your lights like that (wothout you touching anything) is your rear windsheild wiper switch, they go bad and short it out, so just unplug it.
