Just want to share this with everyone. I used them replacing my fuse box . Have had no issue with bad connection at all.

Yes! Those are awesome connectors. I've had great experience with them as well.

I have a huge issue with corrosion - even heat shrink doesn't fully solve the issue. These look much higher quality than standard heat shrink

Until you get some of these bad boys, try putting a dab of dielectric grease on your solder joint before sliding the heat shrink tube over it. Then, shrink the tube from the middle and work your way out to squeeze out the excess grease. Cuts down on corrosion drastically.

Yep. I do this with butt connectors. I just push some grease into the connector itself before I insert the wire. Works great.

Has anyone used these type of connectors for use under the hood?

They look like a great option but concerned about the environment under the hood on both the heat shrink tubing and the solder over an extended length of time. I couldn't find any details for this type of use case.

Any comments or feedback would be extremely welcome.

Melting point of 60/40 solder is 370*F. It gets hot under the hood of the Jeep, yes... but if it's getting hotter than 370, I believe you have a bigger problem than solder melting.
