I had changed the stereo on my 99 xj limited and I still have no sound 🔊.

what were the symptoms before you changed the stereo? was it working or not working?

Same problem here, wired in the new stereo and it works... just no sound.
Previous owner had aftermarket amp and subs. Not a clue what they did.

Did you connect the amplifier turn-on wire when you hooked up the aftermarket radio? I think it's blue, and it's on both the aftermarket-to-factory harness adapter, and the harness that came with your new radio. This sends a "turn-on" signal to the stock amp that then sends a signal to the speakers every time you turn on the radio. This is a common mistake for people that don't know they have the Infinity system or simply don't know they had to connect that wire.

If you DID connect the aforementioned wire, did you get sound with the stock radio?
