Assistance wiring in roof basket lights

So today, I am going to wire in the lights on my roof basket. IT may be overkill but it is mainly for camping, and where we live, we do a lot of winter night wheeling in Grizzly Bear country.

Anyways, I have 3 sets of lights on the roof.

Fronts= 116 W total
Rears= 36 W total
Floods= 108 W total

I also have this kit for my switch. It is a touch screen LED panel. It has a 10A output.

Can I run my power wires straight to this panel or should I be wiring in another relay?

Relays!

The 36 watt can be done without a relay, but it will be a cleaner installation if you do them all the same.

(I'm assuming you are going to switch them as three separate banks of lights; front, middle, and rear)

Also, if you ever upgrade the middle bank, you are already wired for it.

My math had me at 9.7A, 3A, and 9A which all would have cleared the built in 10A relays.

Did I miss something?

You are correct but the 9.7A and the 9A are too close to 10A for my comfort. A couple of $2 relays would save the box from frying, so why take a chance.

Exactly. :cheers:

And then there's future-proofing to think about.
