Default 50" Light Bar Placement

I'm going to be installing a light bar. I've heard a couple of complaints from Chevy owners that when installed above cab , that they had a bad whistle to them and tend to squeak and rattle. I have a piece of steel square tubing for a front bumper so mounting it there would be easy.

Has anyone had issues with the XJ's having rattling , squeaking, or whistling with light bar mounted above cab.

Any light bar that big anywhere can whistle but theirs ways to fix it,Like https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p...FYQAaQodIpQHoQ and http://gglights.com/products/50-led-...limination-kit both you put on the back side and fix the whistle. But what light pattern the light bar is matters where you stick it also.

Thx for the info, I will check that out today.

As far as installing on the back bumper, that would probably fix the whistle problem lol, as well as be amusing.

Thx again for the help

I was reading to stop the whistle is to glue a piece of plastic over the end of the light and that should stop the whistle .

I used these mounts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't have any problems with sound. But the light bar has/had some foam pieces glued in between the ribs. I didn't buy the light, it came with my xj when I bought it, I just had to install it.
