FYI, I have been ripping that crushed part of the exhaust off of every Jeep I've had for the last 15 years. I have a guy that makes them for me and installs them as well if I happen to not have access to a welder. I've been putting a header on them for the last 7 years. Just did it to my XJ. The only reason the MJ doesn't have it yet is because I got it 2 weeks ago and it has several other issues to address first.
Eliminating the crush makes a seat of the pants difference, doesn't it?

Put the '90 ecu in and it does make quite a difference! Pulls harder, has a lot more pep through out the rpm range and climbs residential hills much better. Unfortunately my test drive got cut short by a mini van!

Just enough to get the radiator! Argh!

looks like they have another posting that is specifically for renix throttle bodies. Im willing to give it a shot seeing as how its hard enough to find someone that bore them to begin with. Price seems reasonable too.

Contacted him twice and said he didnt have any more cores, said I would need to send him one (which is fine) but his lead time was also out a very long time. (I am wanting to say he said 4-6 months but It was a while ago and I can remember.)

I send him all my cores. Check again.

I get the finished product within a week.

I'm thinking folks aren't good about sending cores back because he always likes getting mine.

A fellow Jeeper just called him last week and said he didn't sound very interested in doing Renix stuff right now or in the near future. Although another guy in our group just ordered one for his 2000 that's suppose to be here in a week. So idk

He does them for me all the time.

And, he doesn't communicate by phone. Only email.....

I'll send him a link to this, okay?

is there a way to tell what year the ecu is by the model number? the listings on ebay just say 87-90 88-90 etc. I want to try the swap, sounds like its worth it.
