Default What to look for when buying a Comanche?

I have the opportunity to buy a comanche this weekend. Says it runs, but over heats, appears to have sat for a while. Obviously look for major rust, but past that not sure any unique Comanche issues to look for. Body appears straight and rust free from the pictures, has a 4.0 and is a 5 speed which leads me to believe it’s the ba 10/5 which is okay, I can always do a trans swap later on. I feel for $500 if the body is straight and mostly in good shape overall it would be worth it. Any suggestions or tips or anything would be appreciated. I plan to go look at it and hopefully pick it up to take Home on Saturday. Here’s the pictures I’ve gotten of it, never seen it in person and no clue of the mileage. It’s a 1987.What to look for when buying a Comanche?-photo707.jpgWhat to look for when buying a Comanche?-photo830.jpgWhat to look for when buying a Comanche?-photo978.jpgWhat to look for when buying a Comanche?-photo564.jpgWhat to look for when buying a Comanche?-photo110.jpg

LOoks like a good candidate
The overheating issue could be the closed cooling system somewhere not working right which most of the time is the top to the coolant bottle...
Cruiser would give you more insight on these trucks
Even with his tips and tricks for the renix system

Seen the tips and tricks and plan to go through those for sure. Hoping it’s just the cooling system not working correctly. I have a buddy with almost a full open system I can get for cheap new. I plan to check the oil and coolant obviously to see if any has mixed.
