I also bought the new nipple to convert the oil filter adapter to standard 3/4 threads so I have wider range of oil filters available to use.

Great build thread sir! That tan one looks like my old 2 wheel drive. Almost identical, except mine was like new when I bought it. Gotta love the bench seat!
My second one was 4X4 from the factory, lifted like 2 inches. Rusty as heck, so I didn't have it long.

No, I don't lick fish.
lol... dude I'm a total nerd. I don't dress the part or anything when I go to renfaires, but I totally get into making armor and weapons for SCA. Even have a couple of swords... used to be a much larger collection, but sold them to pay for Jeep parts

Finally had a bit of time so I went ahead and cut off about 2-1/4 inches of the drivers side cast section. To make room for the TNT truss.
The reasoning is because of this.
I think it look pretty good
I'm contemplating rotating the C's but I don't think it would matter that much since it's only gonna be on 3" lift or so.

A rare occurance happened; I finally had a bit of time. Took the gears out of the d44. Had to locate a hole 1.5" away from the bolt face for the entrance for the air line. The OEM vent hole is exactly where it needed to be. So I measured the vent hole, then "relocated" the vent hole 3/4" away. Center punched the new location then drilled a new hole.
As of the OEM location, I opened it up to 7/16" and then tapped it for 1/4 NPT.
Next thing I need to do is to clean up the housing a bit, then burn the truss on.

Hole wasn't large enough so I had to egg the hole oval. No big deal.
I painted the inside of the truss with Weld-Thru primer.
I got bunch of free flap discs. Used one to sand the tubes again just to shine it up.
Wire-wheeled the pumpkin housing. To remove the accumulation of rust since the last time I did it.
TNT lower control arm mounts and sway bar mounts came in the mail today. They ll get burned on after the truss.
Progress, I say!
I also picked up a D44 LSD carrier from a friend.
(For the rear axle; the front axle will get the ARB).
