Tailgate??
 

a little bird told me a dodge Dakota tailgate would fit on a Comanche....is this true? And if so what years?

This is news to me but if any Dakota might work would be the 80s one.I'd take a tape measure to your stock tailgate width heigth and thickness and mounting points.Then go to a junk yard find the dakotas and see if its even close if not you know for sure.

Yeah the Dakota and Comanche are two totally different vehicles using two totally different platforms... the Dakota used its own platform and the MJ (Comanche) used a Cherokee (XJ) platform. Parts from the two vehicles will NOT be interchangeable.

thats a new one... I have heard of someone desperate for a comanche talking about how he was gonna try and fit his old XJ fenders and front clip to a dakota he had (trying to trade for an MJ) so he could pretend he did infact "finally get one for himself".

Hard to believe it was actually on this site as well
