signal woes....
Hi every one, Having a problem with the signal lights on my 86 MJ with the parking lights and/or headlights off they work fine including the hazards but when I turn the headlights on only the passenger side signal works. And I try my driver side signal it will stay stuck on but once I turn the lights off its fine. Also I changed the bulbs and both the hazard and turn signal relays. Any replies are appreciated. Thanks

TSS in the column, or the connection....Its a PIA to get to, but your better off in the long run to just replace it. Its an Early GM style tilt column with a jeep Steering wheel.

My truck did the same thing and it was the clicker that makes them blink in the kick panel

this. I forgot what it was actually called. This is what makes the click you hear and makes it flash I believe. |

You replaced the flasher? Which one? There's 2 of them. One for turn signals. One for hazards. Click on the link below and refresh the connector featured in the photo: http://cruiser54.com/?p=35 |

I also noticed that one of my turn signal connector was messed up. So i cut the wires and installed a new connector was all good. ( I had the same problem) Check front and rear turn signal... either connector can be bad

Ok guys I got it!! It was the rear tail light harness right where the wires come through the body to the tail lamp. The wires were burnt and grounding out on the body. Thank goodness and thank all you guys for all the help. You guys are the best.
