Possible '89 MJ Purchase
If the guy still has it next Wed., thinking of pulling the trigger on this.
'89 Comanche, "no rust" (seeing is believing), interior in good shape (looks good in the one interior pic he has), short bed, 2WD, no drivetrain, $400. I can't see the tailgate area and taillights, and have no idea what was left in the engine bay. Thinking of getting this, then getting a 4.0, AX15, computer, and complete wire harness from a '91 and up XJ slap in it, and done. What do you guys think? Jerry |
I know which one your talking about....
I say make sure it doesn't that much rust...mainly the rockers, the floorboards, and by the rear flares on the bed..... Hope to see it soon... |
Sorry for the multiple posts, can't seem to post more then one pic per post.

Wed., my friend, we'll get it then. That's when my money hits! Do you know how much is still in the engine bay? Did you ask which motor it had 4.0/2.5? How much, if any, is the engine harness still in there? Trying to think whether to restore the Renix system that's in there if enough is left, just yank all of the wiring, and put in the Mopar MPI system and computers.

Honestly I didn't pay attention because I was gonna transfer harness and engine from my parts Jeep. Yes, I have a spare harness, and ECU for an 87 4.0l.

Cool, if I do this, might buy that off ya. Plan is to get a 4.0, late AX15 with external slave, 242 t-case, and a matching D30. Hell, converted my wife's 2WD WJ to 4WD with a 242, so, this shouldn't be too bad.
